Like her Crown co-star Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby has decided to inject a little action into her post-royal career. She's now making a deal to play Jason Statham's sister in the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs And Shaw.
With Deadpool 2's David Leitch marshaling the action madness, Dwayne Johnson is bringing special agent Luke Hobbs into his own film alongside Statham's villain-turned-antihero Deckard Shaw, a move that has already caused some ructions in the seemingly close-knit family of the Fast acting gang.
Regular Fast writer Chris Morgan scripted the new movie, which is keeping most of its plot details – beyond some reason for the title pair to team up – but now we know that Kirby will be part of the Shaw family (which also includes Luke Evans and Helen Mirren, who don't appear to be popping up in this one), and an MI-5 agent. The cameras will be rolling and the fists will be flying in the autumn.
But before that, Kirby will get her latest big action role, appearing in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, due here on 25 July.
