Aside from her animation voice gigs, Jennifer Lopez has mostly been working on thrillers and crime dramas. She's aiming to get back to the likes of Maid In Manhattan with a new romantic comedy called Second Act. And now Vanessa Hudgens and Annaleigh Ashford are joining her.
Lopez will play a woman who works in a big store, but is less than thrilled about her job prospects. But then she gets a chance to prove to a big ad agency that her street smarts are worth just as much as any college degree. Hudgens is set to play Zoe, a young executive, while Ashford will play a character called Hildy, while Leah Rimini is also aboard.
Peter Segal is on to direct the film for STX Films and the script comes from Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Justin Zackham. The movie will start shooting at the end of the month in New York.
