Ah MTV, the source of many innovative horror concepts. Everything from Nick and Jessica's Newlyweds to the later Michael Jackson's music videos has passed, or lurched, through its doors. Well, now it looks like they've bitten into another potential hit with the news that MTV Films is buying the rights to Andrew Cosby's vampire comic tale Damn Nation. The story, which was originally published by Dark Horse as a three part mini-series, sees the United States evacuated due to an unfortunate mass attack by vampires, which has left the nation suffering from a vampire plague (those pesky critters). This forces the US federal government to relocate to London while they search for a cure. Now apart from the unintentionally menacing image of George Dubya rooming with Tony at number ten, this sounds like something we could definitely sink our teeth into. Cosby (no relation to Bill, as far as we know), whose past writing endeavours include UPN's Haunted and sci fi series Eureka, will pen the screenplay and exec produce
