A little over a week ago, Netflix let slip the first teaser for the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special episode, Kimmy Vs. The Reverend that will have you making decisions next month. Now, the full trailer has appeared, which shows off the comic spin on what Black Mirror did with its Bandersnatch episode.
Of course, in Kimmy's world, "bandersnatch" is probably something that Tituss Burgess' Titus Andromedon would use to label an enemy, and this is more aimed at the goofy comedy stylings of the show than techno-terror.
As this episode opens, Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) is a successful author and seems to have her life set as she prepares to marry a prince (Daniel Radcliffe) Still, she faces a serious challenge when she learns that the Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm), the conniving type who kidnapped her and three other women and kept them in a bunker as part of a doomsday cult, has another bunker out there with other victims. Now she must choose – prepare for her wedding or go on a rescue mission...
Kimmy Vs. The Reverend will hit the streaming service on 12 May.
