He’s currently busy cranking the cameras on his latest, Nymphomaniac, but Lars von Trier has still found time to dragoon someone new into the cast. Uma Thurman has agreed to take her first role for the director.

The exact nature of that role is not yet known, but it could be erotically charged, since the entire movie is planned as a steamy drama.

Charlotte Gainsbourg is starring as Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac. She’s found by a man named Seligman (Stellan Skarsgård) one night after a savage beating in an alley, and tells him about her life of erotic adventure as he nurses her back to health.

The various flashbacks in her tale will feature the likes of Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Stacy Martin, Christian Slater and Connie Nielsen.

**Nymphomaniac **is currently being made around Cologne and is set to hit our screens next year in both soft and hardcore versions, according to the director.

Thurman has delayed soccer mom-com Playing For Keeps set to arrive on January 1 and will then crop up as part of the huge ensemble cast in Movie 43, which is out on February 1.
