Not content with taking the lead in the upcoming James Patterson adaptation I, Alex Cross, Tyler Perry is also planning to write, direct and star in **Good Deeds{ =nofollow}, a romantic drama for Lionsgate.

The prolific Perry will play Glen Deeds (see what he did there?), a big city suit on the path to financial and societal glory, about to marry an uptown girl until - disaster! - he falls in love with a single mother from the other side of the tracks.

We're saying [SPOILERS] that class barriers will be surmounted, interpersonal rifts healed, and we will learn that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Or something.

Shooting starts in Atlanta around the end of this month. Perry's next, Madea's Big Happy Family, is released in the US on April 22.
