Whenever a new cast member is announced for Wes Craven's new Scream sequel, we kind of assume they're due a knife in the ribs from Ghostface. If that's the case then the bodycount's going to be sizeable, since Anthony Anderson and Marielle Jaffe are now reportedly joining **Scream 4's Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Lake Bell and Nico Tortorella.
It's a high-profile gig for the early-career Jaffe, who so-far only has a role as one of the eight 'Aphrodite Girls' in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief under her belt. She'll also shortly be seen in Doug Campbell's kidnap-drama Locked Away.
Anderson is a more familiar face, from Transformers, The Departed, and Andrzej Bartkowiak's action 'trilogy' (Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave). Most intriguingly (and amusingly) though, he's also a veteran of the Scream-ripping Scary Movie franchise, with appearances in parts 3 and 4. Does that mean director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson have a particularly inventive death reserved for him?
Scream 4 starts shooting in Michigan at the end of this month, and is due in cinemas next spring.
