The Resident Evil franchise might not exactly be known for its sparkling script, but it certainly knows how to put on a spectacle. And now, with Paul WS Anderson back at the helm and using his shiny new 3D camera to worship his other half (Milla Jovovich), the latest outing, Afterlife, seems intent on delivering the OTT action.
While the trailer has hinted at the stunt chaos that the film offers, these first two proper clips from the film provide… well, let’s call it confirmation.
And though they’re two completely different scenes, there’s the real sense that Anderson has taken the idea of shooting in 3D and run wild with it, like a child discovering that the Lego fairy has been to his house during the night.
Take a look and judge for yourself if the clips make Afterlife look like the most fun you can have watching Milla Jovovich fire guns and make things go boom, or whether you’ll be staying well away from the cinema in case you get any of it on you…
