Thurman and Travolta reunite for Be Cool

Uma Thurman has signed up opposite her old Pulp Fiction partner in crime John Travolta for the Get Shorty sequel Be Cool. Thurman is set to play Edie, the female lead, a widow who takes over her husband’s record label and finds herself in business with Travolta’s Chili Palmer. It seems that since we last saw him, Palmer has found himself in need of new film idea and has entered the music business in search of inspiration. His path to success, however, is complicated somewhat by the inevitable gangsters – Russian this time. Chili also faces organised crime investigators and a host of wannabe actors and musicians. Joining Travolta and Thurman is Danny DeVito, reprising his role as actor Martin Weir, and The Rock as a bodyguard and aspiring actor, a role which shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for Hollywood’s favourite muscle man. Vince Vaughan is reportedly also in negotiations to join what looks like being an interesting ensemble cast. Filming is set to begin early next year.
