When two or more foodies are gathered together and the talk turns to film, it's usually Big Night, the story of two brothers trying to run a failing restaurant, that is mentioned first. Practically no one has seen it, but everyone who has needed a big bowl of pasta right afterwards, because the food shown is just too tasty not to. Stanley Tucci starred in that - and he's headed back in that gourmet direction with Julie And Julia, the story of one woman's quest to cook all of legendary chef Julia Childs' recipes.

Tucci will play Childs' husband Paul, a diplomat in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s. Apparently the story will switch back and forth between the modern-day Julie's (Amy Adams) efforts to cook all Childs' elaborate recipes in her tiny apartment in a year and Julia's (Meryl Streep) years in Paris with her husband, who was suspected of Communist leanings and investigated by Senator McCarthy.

Shooting's due to start in March, once Meryl's finished with her annual Oscar nomination (actually, Adams is more likely to be nominated this year). It is of course a reunion for Streep and Tucci, who teamed up last year for The Devil Wears Prada as well. Nora Ephron's directing, so expect all the characters to live in fabulous apartments and dress really well.
