It’s always good news when Trey Parker and Matt Stone decide to make more films. Unless your name is Tom Cruise, that is.

The pair is back with two films for Paramount – and apparently neither of them will be taking political pot shots at actors or world figures (though don’t count on it).

My All-American is described as a high-school comedy, which will be written in part by Jeff Roda. And then there’s the far more exciting-sounding Giant Monsters Attack Japan!, with a script by JF Lawton that will blend real actors with the prime man-in-suit action made famous by Godzilla.

Parker’s directing both movies, with Stone on as usual as producer, but while both films have separate writers, don’t expect the South Park lads to be hands off with the script. "We learned from the last two films that these can't all be self-generated," Stone told Variety. "Trey and I are script whores, so we'll be very involved in shaping these projects.

And for the first time since they created Cartman and co, they’ll be working with real-live actors. At least, they hope so… "Neither of these movies feel like vehicles for big stars, but this will be our opportunity to find out if there are any actors left who want to work with us," Stone told the trade mag. We think they might find one or two.
