Oliver Stone certainly doesn’t seem to be skimping on either the star power or the eclecticism for his latest project, the adaptation of Don Winslow’s drug drama novel Savages. His latest additions? John Travolta and Uma Thurman.

Savages already boasts current hot properties Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson as Chon and Ben, a former Navy SEAL and his stoner pal who grow the best pot from their home base. They spend their time happily ensconced with girlfriend O, who has a thing for both men. But then a Mexican Cartel boss (Salma Hayek) sends her enforcer, Lado (Benicio Del Toro) to demand that the pair work for her.

When they refuse, the cartel kidnaps O and the pot growers plan to pay her ransom by ripping off the crime group’s own shipments.

With Blake Lively now locked in as O, the two new additions will be playing Dennis, a burned out Drug Enforcement Agency operative and Paqu, O's mother.

While this is certainly a solid cast, there are likely more names set to be announced, as the script, by Winslow and Shane Salerno, features a few more roles. Stone has time to cast them – he kicks off shooting in June.
