When not arguing with Clint Eastwood, Spike Lee also makes films. You can see evidence of thishere, where Yahoo has an excellent trailer for his latest, Miracle at St. Anna.

The film, adapted by James McBride from his own novel, is a chronicle of the lives of four 'Buffalo Soldiers', an all-black division of the US Army who were stationed in Italy in WWII. The men find themselves trapped behind enemy lines when one of them rescues a small boy. And there's something to do with a marble head.

The trailer looks great and certainly shows a side of Spike Lee we haven't really seen before. It's difficult to think of a movie he's made with a bigger visual scope than this, and who, really, isn't at least interested to see what Spike Lee does with a battle scene? Also, miraculously, the trailer sets up the story without really giving anything away.
