While a lot about the plot remains a tightly held secret, we do know that Rian Johnson has been building quite the cast for his next film, Knives Out. The latest addition is Toni Collette.

She joins an ensemble that already includes Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Ana de Armas, Don Johnson and recent recruit Jamie Lee Curtis in what is being described a whodunnit that blends modern-day crime stylings with a classic whodunnit concept. Craig will play a detective looking to unravel the secrets of the case, but as for everyone else, they are, fittingly, a mystery.

Johnson wrote the script and will produce the film alongside regular collaborator Ram Bergman, with the cameras due to start cranking next month.

Collette, most recently seen being terrified in Hereditary and gently romanced in Hearts Beat Loud, has worked on Dan Gilroy's Velvet Buzzsaw and new TV series Unbelievable, which should hit Netflix next year.
