With the cameras now rolling, the biopic of acclaimed war reporter Marie Colvin known as A Private War has announced a further addition to its cast: Tom Hollander will show up on screen for this one.
Rosamund Pike is starring as Colvin, with Arash Amel on script duty adapting Marie Brenner's 2012 Vanity Fair article Marie Colvin's Private War. It'll chronicle the work of the journalist, who filed reports from conflict zones including Chechnya, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, where she lost her left eye in 2001. She became known for her distinctive patch, and kept working, dying during a rocket attack in 2012 while covering the civil war in Syria.
Hollander's role has yet to be revealed, but he'll join a cast that also includes Jamie Dornan. There was a report of Taron Egerton signing on, but he's nowhere on either the IMDB or Deadline's story about Hollander's casting. With Cartel Land director Matthew Heineman calling the shots, the production is kicking off work in Japan this week.
