After years in development, a revolving door of filmmakers and actors leaping aboard and then leaving, it seemed as though the Uncharted movie was doomed to live in limbo. And having the Covid pandemic hit just as filming started with Tom Holland playing treasure hunter Nathan Drake didn't help matters. But Holland has been back to work for a while now and hit Twitter to showcase a first look at his take on Drake.
Ruben Fleischer is in the director's chair for the film, which is looking to serve as a prequel to the best-selling Playstation game series, and follows Drake's earlier days and how he came meet and befriend mentor Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg).
Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle and Sophia Ali are all also in the movie, which is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas (fingers crossed) in October next year. Now we all just have to wait and see the trailer for more proof that this is something other than a shared vision we're all having.
