We still only have limited information about the Loki-centric Disney+ series that Marvel is working on for the streaming service. But we do know that Yesterday's Sophia Di Martino is now in talks to join Tom Hiddleston in the cast.
Sex Education's Kate Herron is on as the miniseries' director, with Rick & Morty veteran Michael Waldron writing the pilot and guiding the series' creative direction. The show follows picks up Loki's story after the version we saw in Avengers: Endgame grabs the Tesseract and disappears into time and space. Marvel boss Kevin Feige has said the show will see him dealing with new problems and looking to cause chaos as he does so. Full on original flavour Loki, then, albeit more as an antihero.
Loki became the first series to get a greenlight, though it is following The Falcon And The Winter Soldier in terms of production time, looking to start shooting early next year with an eye on a spring 2021 launch date.
Di Martino won the role against some strong competition, but her role is a mystery for now. She's also been seen in Netflix series Flowers and has a role in biography Louis Wain opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Foy.
