You might think that Woody Allen already had a sufficiently hefty cast on board for his next film, Midnight In Paris. And you’d be right. But he’s adding a few more actors, with Thor**’s Tom Hiddleston set to appear alongside Alison Pill, Corey Stoll, Nina Arianda, Mimi Kennedy and Kurt Fuller, according to the Risky Business Blog.
Yes, clearly scoring the likes of (deep breath) Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen and French first lady Carla Bruni just wasn’t enough for the Woodster, who is getting ready to film the thing this summer, hopefully without every hotel room scene featuring a view of the Eifel Tower to remind audiences where we are.
In case you didn’t know already, Midnight In Paris follows a family visiting the French capital on a business trip, with a young couple who suddenly realise that their illusion of a better life might not be the perfect world they think it is.
Allen’s other latest (i.e. the one he’s ready to release in cinemas), You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, premiered at Cannes to some mixed/positive buzz and should be sliding into our cinemas later this year.
