Reacher is back. He’s still being played by Tom Cruise, sure, but all but the most hardened Reacher purist will have had their reservations softened by a very decent first outing that boasted bonus Werner Herzog. In Jack Reacher: Never Go Back he’s investigating (i.e. punching) a new lot of villains, this time with military connections. Check out the new TV spot below.

Never Go Back, adapted from Lee Child's 18th Reacher novel, finds the tough vigilante returning to his old army headquarters, only to discover that he's been accused of a murder that went down 16 years ago. The reason he breaks the advice about not returning? He's there to help an army major (Cobie Smulders), who is accused of spying.

Patrick Heusinger is on bad guy duties, with Aldis Hodge, Holt McCallany and Robert Knepper also in the cast.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back will be out in the UK on October 21. For more about the film, watch its most recent full-length trailer here.
