Likely already busy with moustache fittings, Kenneth Branagh has somehow found the time to start gathering the cast for his next stint as Hercule Poirot, Death On The Nile. And the director's latest pick marks a reunion from Murder On The Orient Express, as Tom Bateman will return to play Bouc.

In the previous film, M. Bouc, a longstanding friend of the great detective, owned the Orient Express and helped find him a berth. He also aided Poirot in the murder investigation, so expect him to lend a hand once again this time. Though you've got to wonder when he'll start thinking that hanging around with Hercule is just too dangerous a proposition, given the amount of death that happens in his presence...

Death On The Nile already has Armie Hammer and Gal Gadot joining Branagh in the cast for a story that sees Poirot investigating a murder during a luxurious cruise on the Nile River that he happens to be on. But just as he identifies a motley collection of would-be killers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery.

Michael Green wrote the script once again and the film will be out on 3 January, 2020. As for Bateman, he'll be seen in Hard Powder with Liam Neeson, though the movie has yet to announce a UK release.
