Old School helmer Todd Phillips has found himself a Russian bride. Well, to be specific he’s brought an untitled film about Ruskie wives over from its former Miramax homeland to live with him at Warners.
With its origins in a 2002 Arena mag article written by 25th Hour novelist and screen scribe David Benioff called Goodbye To Romance, the new film will follow a group of Americans heading to Russia to find the best looking love that money will buy.
Phillips is now on a hunt for someone to rewrite E Max Frye’s first draft, and may end up directing the film, which has just had its passport stamped at Development Hell.
