Todd Phillips, director of **Starsky & Hutch, Old School **and last year's School For Scoundrels, has signed on to direct a new comedy film at Warners. Hangover is set to be his next film, shooting pre-strike, even though there's no cast in place yet.
The story is set the morning after a Vegas stag do, where the guests wake up the next morning, thoroughly hung over and missing one groom. They then have to retrace their drunken steps the night before, trying to remember what sozzled logic led them to do, in order to find the groom and make sure that the wedding goes ahead. Think Very Bad Things with a person MIA instead of a dead hooker.
The writers of the script are Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, who wrote the screenplays for the upcoming **Ghosts of Girlfriends Past **and Snow and the Seven, but also worked on uncredited rewrites for **The Wedding Crashers, Chicken Little, Monster-In-Law **and Mr Woodcock. Whether that's a good thing or not we leave to your judgment.
There's no word on casting yet, but we wouldn't be surprised if some Frat Packers turn up on the list. So will this be a return to comic form for Phillips? And who should they cast?
