Here a little tidbit of news for all you Cloverfield fans out there. You may have been worried by the failure of JJ Abrams and Matt Reeves to get stuck into a sequel immediately, but fear not: Reeves assured MTV recently that it will happen.
"It really isn't the moment for [the sequel] to go any further than it has, but it continues to be a priority for both of us," Reeves told the channel. "J.J. is very immersed in putting together 'Super 8.' He's in pre-production and really, really passionately getting that together. And I'm passionately finishing 'Let Me In.'"
He also confirmed that there is no link whatsoever between the big gross monster movie and JJ's similarly secretive upcoming movie Super 8 - but that he "knows what JJ's doing and it's amazing."
Promising stuff - but what do you want to see from a **Cloverfield **sequel? We're assuming you want one at all, but surely the chance to see a bunch of hipsters get trodden on / eaten / exploded by monsters is a good thing.
