John Slattery is developing a habit of having former Mad Men colleagues appear in the films he directs. He's following up God's Pocket with Maggie Moore(s), and has Jon Hamm in the lead, with Tina Fey on to co-star.
Written by Paul Bernbaum, the black comedy is set in a dusty desert town where nothing ever happens, as a police chief (Hamm, we're guessing) is suddenly faced with the back-to-back murders of two women with the same name.
This also represents a reunion for Hamm and Fey, since he's popped up in two of her shows – 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Slattery for his part also appears in Rock and co-starred with Fey in an episode of Amazon's Modern Love.
