Quentin Tarantino is clearly a fan of Justified. He's already had Walton Goggins in Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight, and he's now in the process of hiring Timothy Olyphant for the director's latest, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Described as a Pulp Fiction-style tapestry of Hollywood's changing nature in the 1960s, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt as former Western TV series star Rick Dalton and stunt double Cliff Booth, trying to find their way in an industry neither man recognises. With the Manson murders as a gruesome backdrop (and a more direct link as the ill-fated Sharon Tate is one of Dalton's neighbours), the movie already also has Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Kurt Russell, with Margot Robbie close to joining them as Tate.
According to Deadline, there had to be some diary date juggling so Olyphant can work on the next season of Santa Clarita Diet, but it has all been worked out. Tarantino will kick off shooting soon in Los Angeles with Sony targeting an August 2019 release.
