Timothée Chalamet is one of the most in-demand actors at the moment, but it's not tough to see why he might want to work with Ford V Ferrari/Le Mans '66 director James Mangold on a new film. He's on to star in one about Bob Dylan's switch from folk acoustic to rock music.
Deadline brings word that Fox Searchlight is locking down Mangold and Chalamet's services for a movie that is currently known as Going Electric, but that's the working title and may not hold. The story will chronicle the shockwave that exploded through the music world when Dylan, best known for his folk stylings, traded his acoustic guitar for an electric instrument and an amp.
Chalamet is reportedly already taking guitar lessons so he can look authentic with the axe. The Little Women actor has to squeeze in a stint on the London stage in 4,000 Miles but should be available after that run finishes in May.
This year, he'll be seen in Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch (which doesn't yet have a UK date) and Denis Villeneuve's Dune (18 December).
