Timberlake Finds The Last Drop

When he’s not busy trying to convince the world that MySpace is still relevant to our shared digital existence, Justin Timberlake is concentrating on finding his next acting gig. He’s now in talks for The Last Drop.

N****ick And Norah’s Infinite Playlist director Peter Sollett is attached to make the movie, which focuses on a charming alcoholic working as a restaurant critic for New York magazine. When he meets a seemingly perfect woman, he realises he’ll have to try to overcome his addiction in order to have a shot with her. While it sounds like it could be a wrenching drama about one man’s struggles with his demons, it’s being pitched more as a romantic comedy.

Brandon and Phil Murphy wrote the script, which landed on the 2011 Black List and has since been pursued by various companies. Nick And Norah production team Good Universe is bringing the elements together, and landing Timberlake would certainly help get it made.

He’ll next show up alongside Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams in Trouble With The Curve, due here on November 30. In 2013 we’ll see him in the Coens’ Inside Llewyn Davis.
