Those popular psychology titles just keep finding their way from the self-help shelves to the desks of Hollywood screenwriters. Following He's Just Not That Into You, and with Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus on the way, next on the list is Think Like a Man, which Tim Story has just signed to direct.

The book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Relationships, Intimacy and Commitment, is by Steve Harvey, who hosts a nationally syndicated morning show in the US. His thesis is that women don't understand men because they ask other women for insights, when only the guys themselves can really tell them what makes them tick.

In the film, Harvey will be played by Kevin Hart (Death at a Funeral) as a self-professed relationships expert who's keen to dish out advice left, right and centre. The trouble is, his own marriage is floating perilously close to the rocks, so he'll need to Think Like a Man if he needs to set things straight. Whether he'll also fly like an eagle, walk like a panther, leap like a salmon and prowl like a lion remains to be seen.

The screenplay's been put together by Keith Merriman and David A Newman (Friends With Benefits), and Fantastic Four and Barbershop director Story will need to get his cameras rolling ASAP, since Sony has already set a release date of April 6, 2012.
