As part of 2020's Disney Investor Day, the Mouse House announced that, among the 5,000 other future productions, it would be making a third Sister Act movie with Whoopi Goldberg back to star and produce. Now we know that High School Musical: The Musical - The Series creator Tim Federle will direct the film.
The Nevers staff writer Madhuri Shekar is on script duty for the film, with the plot currently being kept secret. All we can expect is Goldberg's Deloris getting into another scrape alongside the nuns and students of St. Katherine's Roman Catholic Church.
Tyler Perry is on to produce the film which is aiming to show up on Disney+ in the next couple of years. According to Deadline, Fedele nabbed this latest gig after impressing Disney executives with his work on new film Better Nate Than Ever, which will be on the streaming next year.
