Ever since Marvel Studios' mega Hall H return at San Diego Comic-Con last month, everything's been coming up Milhouse for the MCU. Robert Downey Jr. is back in the Marvellian mix, Deadpool & Wolverine's been bossing it at the box office, and we've learned that a proper Channing Tatum Gambit project *might* actually be a-go at long last. And on top of all that, with Marvel celebrating its 85th anniversary this year, the comic book juggernaut have just dropped a new video to celebrate almost a century of capes and crimefighting goodness. Among the highlights? New blink-and-you'll-miss-it glimpses at a slew of upcoming projects, including Thunderbolts*, Daredevil: Born Again, Captain America: Brave New World (and a certain Mr Ford's Red Hulk), and more. Check it out below:
Excelsior indeed, Stan — Excelsior, indeed! Whilst the lion's share of this celebration video is a chance for Marvel to look back at their humble origins in print media with Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and their ilk, and to reflect on how a world etched in colour and ink has expanded into a cinematic universe filling multiplexes across the globe, its back-half offers some tantalising teases as to what's next for our favourite heroes — and villains — on screen. There's a fresh look at David Harbour, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and the Thunderbolts* crew all suited up; a suitably dark, crimson-coloured shot of Charlie Cox's Masked Man in Daredevil: Born Again; a supersonic glimpse of Dominique Thorne's Ironheart flying through traffic in her upcoming Disney+ series; and, most excitingly, a truly _roar_some first official look at Harrison Ford in full Red Hulk mode from the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. (We still can't quite believe Indiana Jones, Han Solo, Deckard himself is the MCU's Red Hulk — and yet here we are!)
With witchy WandaVision spin-off Agatha All Along set to hit Disney+ next month, an Ultron MCU return newly in the pipeline, and the slate for the Marvel Cinematic Universe neatly taking shape as the Multiverse Saga barrels towards its Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars double-header finale, things are looking up for Kevin Feige and co once again. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to go and practice our best Ford Red Hulk roar in the mirror... again!
