Before we see her make her MCU debut in Eternals, Angelina Jolie is back in the sort of action role that helped launch her career for Taylor Sheridan's Those Who Wish Me Dead. Check out the first trailer for the movie...
Sheridan, Michael Koryta and Charles Leavitt all contributed to adapting Koryta's 2016 book, with Jolie starring as smoke jumper Hannah Faber, a firefighter still haunted by the lives lost on her watch. Working in the Montana wilderness on a fire tower, she spots traumatised 12-year-old Connor (Finn Little), who is on the run from two hired killers (Aidan Gillen and Nicholas Hoult).
As it turns out, Connor is a witness to a murder, and the killers are aiming to make sure he doesn't testify. It's up to Hannah to keep him safe from both the human danger and the newly raging forest fire that threatens to consume everything in its path.
With Jon Bernthal, Tyler Perry and Tory Kittles also in the film, Those Who Wish Me Dead will arrive in the US on cinema screens and HBO Max on 14 May, before a planned UK launch on 17 May (though that isn't 100% confirmed yet).
