How do dogs fare when a newcomer disrupts their carefully protected territory? Can animals used to the pampered home life survive in the mean streets? And what diabolical plans could a cute bunny hatch? All these questions are addressed in the new trailer for The Secret Life Of Pets.
If you've seen any of the previous teasers or trailers for the new animated comedy, you know the drill by now: Pets offers a glimpse into the world of animals and what they get up to when their owners are gone for the day. Specifically, the inhabitants of a New York apartment complex and the surrounding buildings.
Our nominal hero here is Max (Louis C.K.), a rescue terrier used to being the centre of attention from his owner Katie (Ellie Kemper). But when she brings home the huge, hairy Duke (Eric Stonestreet), there's distrust from the start. Still, Max's attempts to ditch his new "brother" end up with them both on the street, mixed up with the dodgy dealings of Snowball (Kevin Hart), a rabbit with big ambitions.
With the likes of Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Tara Strong, Steve Coogan and Albert Brooks in the voice cast, this one hails from Despicable Me veteran Chris Renaud directing alongside Yarrow Cheney from a script by regulars Brian Lynch, Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. The Secret Life Of Pets will be out in the UK in June.
