She’s currently dominating our screens as ice queens Ravenna (in Snow White And The Huntsman) and Meredith Vickers (in Prometheus), but Charlize Theron could soon be wrapped up in even more dodgy dealings. She’s in talks to star in Murder Mystery for director John Madden.

When and if the movie goes ahead, Theron would play the female half of an American couple enjoying their honeymoon when they become implicated in a murder they witness. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it’s “an affectionate deconstruction of an Agatha Christie-style thriller.”

Despite the seemingly compelling concept, the movie has been stuck wandering through development limbo for a few years now, after it was originally set up at Disney. A couple of years ago, indie company Tower Hill rescued it from turnaround and hired Marley director Kevin Macdonald to tackle the shot-calling chores. But it lingered on, and now The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’s Madden is the man with the megaphone looking to bring James Vanderbilt’s script to life. If Theron does sign on, chances are it’ll finally head to our cinemas. She is, after all, so hot right now. And generally.
