Like a cargo ship lodged in the Panama Canal, Kenneth Branagh's follow up to 2017's Agatha Christie adaptation Murder On The Orient Express is taking a little longer to reach our screens than planned. Longer enough, in fact that the film Branagh made after it, awards hopeful Belfast will precede it on the release schedule. Still, Death On The Nile, which finds the director also back as top sleuth Hercule Poirot (moustache firmly in place) will sail into cinemas in February. Find the latest trailer below...
With Michael Green once again on script duty, the new movie assembles another star-studded cast around Branagh and Tom Bateman's Bouc. The sultry, sexy new trailer features the likes of Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer (noticeably de-emphasized here following his personal scandals), Rose Leslie, Sophie Okonedo, Annette Bening, Emma McKay, Letitia Wright, Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French.
As the title might suggest, the film finds the Belgian 'tec and food snob aboard a luxury Egyptian river steamer. But his attempts to have a relaxing holiday turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short.
Death On The Nile finally (hopefully) docks in the UK on 11 February. And is it too much to hope that given the presence of both French and Saunders, they found the time to shoot one of their legendary spoofs on the set?
