James Gunn and Sylvester Stallone – The Suicide Squad

Sylvester Stallone made waves this weekend when he posted an Instagram video revealing that he was shooting a cameo in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. He deleted the post (though nothing ever stays deleted on the 'net and you can find it copied below), but Gunn has since confirmed the casting with his own post.

Naturally, there are no details yet of what Stallone will be doing in the film, though given that the main production wrapped back in February, it'll likely just be a quick appearance. Still, Stallone's presence in a film like The Suicide Squad promises to be a lot of fun.

Stallone also mentioned that he'd seen the movie (or at least how it stands currently) and that it's a "spectacular effort".

The Suicide Squad features the likes of Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena and Nathan Fillion. It's currently set for release on 6 August 2021.
