Daniela Melchior is really racking up the big franchises. Having made an impact in The Suicide Squad, she's currently busy filming a role in Fast X. But we now also know that she's reunited with Squad writer/director James Gunn for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.

Details of Melchior's role are being kept quiet, but though fans have speculated that she could be playing Moondragon, a daughter of Drax, Gunn has said the character does not appear in the movie. And Melchior's character is apparently a minor one, shot quickly.

With filming on the movie wrapped for a month or so and Gunn about to crack on with post-production, he's been able to keep the usual Marvel cloak of secrecy wrapped around the film. Beyond the return of the core Guardians cast, we do know that Vol. 3 will also feature Adam Warlock, played by Will Poulter, and a character played by Chukwudi Iwuji, who worked with Gunn on TV's Peacemaker. Returning from previous GOTG movies are the likes of Elizabeth Debicki, Sylvester Stallone and Stephen Blackehart, who played Brahl in the second film.

At the same time as the new main movie, Gunn has shot the Disney+-aimed Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special, which will have connective story tissue with the films and precede Vol. 3.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 will be out on 3 May next year, with the holiday special due this December. As for Fast X, we should see that on 19 May 2023.
