While other shows and movies got full new trailers during last week's "TUDUM" Netflix event, Western pic The Harder They Fall was mostly promoted via interviews with co-writer/director Jeymes Samuel and his cast talking up what they wanted to achieve in the movie and how much fun they had working on it. The result of all that effort and entertainment is up on the screen in the new trailer, so take a look...
The story for this one finds Loki and Lovecraft Country's Jonathan Majors as Nat Love, who discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) is being released from prison. Naturally, he does what any wronged man would... He rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge. Those riding with him in this assured, righteously new school Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary (Zazie Beetz), his right and left hand men — hot-tempered Bill Pickett (Edi Gathegi) and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth (RJ Cyler) – and a surprising adversary-turned-ally. Rufus Buck has his own fearsome crew, including “Treacherous” Trudy Smith (Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (LaKeith Stanfield), and they are not a group that knows how to lose.
The Harder They Fall will be in select US and UK cinemas from 22 October before moseying onto Netflix on 3 November.
