We've known that Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have worked on horror comedy movie Studio 666, but had to wait and learn when they'll bring the combo of scares and laughs to the UK. Good news! It'll arrive on 25 February, the same day as the US.
Grohl cooked up the story for the film, while Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes wrote the eventual script and BJ McDonnell called the shots. Studio 666 follows what happens when the legendary rock band rents an Encino mansion steeped in grisly music history, to record their 10th album. Trouble is, frontman Grohl is creatively blocked, and when evil forces in the house sink into his consciousness, the creative juices begin flowing but so does the blood. Can Foo Fighters’ complete the album, with the band still alive to tour?
Fellow Foos Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee play themselves, while Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega and Jeff Garlin all appear.
Studio 666 is out, as mentioned above, on 25 February via Sony UK.
