With just a month to go until the arrival of the latest Star Wars series The Acolyte, Lucasfilm naturally chose Star Wars Day – May the 4th — to launch the latest trailer for the show. Find it below…
Set around the end of the era known as the High Republic, the series, created by Leslye Headland, finds the Jedi at the height of their powers — though as usual, not without people who resent and distrust them. But then a shocking crime spree, included Jedis being hunted and killed, sends respected Jedi Master Sol (Squid Game's Lee Jung-jae) into conflict with a dangerous warrior from his past, a former student, in fact (Amandla Stenberg).
The clues lead Sol and his fellow Jedi down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems…
The Acolyte also features Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo and Carrie-Anne Moss.
As mentioned, the show will kick off on Disney+ on 4 June with the first two episodes.
