While Disney's animated-to-live-action conversion jobs have been targeted at big screens thus far, the new Lady And The Tramp will instead premiere on the company's streaming service due to launch next year. The cast list has grown by one, with Tessa Thompson on to voice pampered cocker spaniel Lady.

Charlie Bean, who directed The Lego Ninjago Movie, is overseeing the revised, live-action-meets-CGI take on the 1955 'toon, which saw Lady fall for a street smart mutt named Tramp amid a host of canine adventures and one iconic date night scene featuring a shared plate of pasta.

Justin Theroux is aboard to voice Tramp, while Ashley Jensen will be Jackie, a gender-swapped version of Scottish Terrier Jock. Kiersey Clemons is Darling, Lady's owner, while Thompson's fellow MCU veteran Benedict Wong has been cast as Bull, an English bulldog.

Thompson is in demand at the moment, stealing scenes in Boots Riley's satire Sorry To Bother You (which frustratingly still lacks a UK release). She's shooting the new Men In Black spin-off film in London and will also return to the role of Bianca for Creed II, due out on 30 November.
