Julien Temple, director of The Great Rock and Roll Swindle has been a busy bloke. Last night at Planet Hollywood he invited friends including Nicholas Roeg and Alan Yentob, to watch his 20-minute film, Wind, created for the Greenpeace annual conference, to show government ministers the power and resources of wind. Ministers were apparently so impressed they promised an increase in the research budget for wind power research. 'This is my first attempt at working with Greenpeace,' Temple explained to Empire Online. 'They came down secretly to my retreat and sounded me out... I wanted in so we decided to trawl through existing archives, music tracks, film footage to create an irreverent hard hitting 20 minute look at what wind can offer. The film is irreverent and hopefully entertaining as well as delivering a very, very important message.'
