It's fair to say that there were some studio nerves about the release of last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. Half a billion dollars in worldwide box office later, however, and we're well on the way to the sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows. We've had trailers and SuperBowl spots, and now here's a set of four new posters.
After the comparatively rough-edged first film, this one looks to be a little bit more of a return to the more goofy, cartoonish side, as witness the arrival of new mutants Bebop (a warthog-thing) and Rocksteady (a rhino-thing), and Dimension X bad guy Krang.
Earth To Echo's David Green is the director this time, replacing Jonathan Liebesman, who moved on to the TV Terry Brooks adaptation The Shannara Chronicles, among other projects. This being a Platinum Dunes joint, Michael Bay is once again a producer along with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. As last time, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec wrote the screenplay, and Megan Fox, Will Arnett and William Fichtner are back as, respectively, April O'Neil, Vern Fenwick and Eric Sacks.
They're joined by franchise newcomers Stephen Amell, Laura Linney, Tyler Perry, Gary Anthony Williams and wrestler Stephen Farrelly. In the performance capture suits as the Turtles themselves are the returning team Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is released on June 3.
