At the end of the last season of Orange Is The New Black, Litchfield Penitentiary was in chaos; Poussey (Samira Wiley) died at the hands of one of the guards, and the prison erupted into riotous chaos. From the looks of this first glimpse at Season 5, we're right back into the action...
Less a trailer for the new season and more a clip from it, this scene finds Taylor Schilling's Piper Chapman and Laura Prepon's Alex Vause trying not to get caught up in the hot tempers and righteous fury of the others. But that might not be quite as simple as it seems.
With the likes of Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba and Jackie Cruz back for the new season (and the successful show renewed through Season 7 at least), it's going to be another tough time for the inmates and staff at Litchfield. Hopefully, though, the show will find its usual balance of drama and comedy that has kept the audience watching.
Season 5 arrives on Netflix on 9 June.
