Now that he's a hot property outside of the fevered imaginations of Twi-hards thanks to New Moon's success, Taylor Lautner is being liked to a whole swathe of new projects, including this latest one, a remake of 1985's coming of age wrestling drama Vision Ques****t.
The original starred Matthew Modine as a high school wrestling star who falls head over heels in lurve with the slightly older female boarder (Linda Fiorentino) who arrives to stay at his house. His relationship with her ends up interfering with his sporting dreams. Tch… Girls, eh? Always with the interfering with the sporting dreams.
This new version is beg spearheaded by producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, who have been part of team Twilight since the first movie and who are also developing action thriller Cancun as another possible Lautner vehicle.
Perhaps they could also find a place for his current squeeze, singer Taylor Hicks - after all, the 1985 film featured a song from, and an early cameo by, Madonna, as 'Crazy For You' became the theme tune...
