Relativity Media are clearly very keen that their Snow White be as visually stunning as possible. First there was the story that Jean-Pierre Jeunet was in talks to direct, and now we're told that** **Tarsem Singh may be the man to bring Brothers Grimm: Snow White to the screen.
Not to be confused with Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, or Disney's Snow White and the Seven (both of which are in parallel development), Brothers Grimm: Snow White is the "edgy" version, produced by Brett Ratner and written by Alice in Wonderland's Melissa Wallack.
There's no mention this morning of whether Natalie Portman is still potentially in the mix (she may be about to opt for something else), but according to Vulture, Singh has been officially offered the gig behind the camera. While it's not yet clear that he'll accept, talks are progressing quickly, and with the surreal spectacles of The Cell and **The Fall **already on his CV, we'd be fascinated to see what he made of a "real" fairytale.
Singh's clash of Greek mythology Immortals (previously War of the Gods) is in post-production, and is out in the UK on November 11 next year.
