Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman, stars of Eddie The Eagle, are fresh from introducing their new movie to an enthusiastic Sundance crowd. Now the new bosom buddies are captured for posterity in this snowy new poster for Dexter Fletcher’s ski-opic.

Eddie The Eagle, AKA Very Cool Runnings, is a true underdog tale of a man who, initially at least, wasn’t so much flying as falling. Egerton’s Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards was the myopic ski-jumper who overcame great odds. Fletcher’s follow-up to Sunshine On Leith promises an uncynical account of the man behind the legend. Or in the case of Hugh Jackman’s uncompromising trainer, the man behind the man behind the legend.

A man of true heart and courage with those trademark thick specs behind his goggles, Edwards would go on to become the first British ski jumper to take part in a Winter Olympics in 60 years.

Eddie The Eagle lands in UK cinemas, before careering across the lobby and smashing into the popcorn stall on April 1. There’ll be preview screenings from March 28.
