With Creed II, long-term Rocky fans don’t just get the second chapter of Adonis Creed’s story – they get a Rocky IV sequel of sorts too. The Creed sequel once again sees Donny (Michael B. Jordan) facing up to fight the son of Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago, the Russian powerhouse who killed Apollo Creed in the ring in 1985. With Lundgren once again sharing the screen with Sylvester Stallone, the pair got together for the Creed II home release – it’s out now on Blu-ray, DVD and HD digital – to re-watch that epic Rocky IV smackdown together.

“You know, I was a karate champion at the time, and I was almost 10 years younger than you, and you’re keeping up with me,” recalls Lundgren as the footage of the fight plays out. “And I was tired, and I was kind of impressed.” It’s a smackdown that certainly left a lasting impression on Stallone, who takes some serious knocks in the ring. “Look at my head, bang!” he commentates. “I’ll never forget that shot, I felt it in my butt. You hit me on the top of my head, it went down my spine literally like a bolt of lightning. With those eight ounce gloves that have actually been banned today because they’re too lethal.”
