Brandon Routh and Carrie-Anne Moss have joined Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Sheen on the roster for terrorism thriller Unthinkable.
Moss plays Agent Brody, who heads up an FBI anti-terror unit, aided by Jackson’s black-ops agent. Superman Routh keeps going with his crime-fighting duties, but leaves aside the big blue boy scout routine as a member of the team tasked with interrogation of a suspected terrorist. Luckily there will be no Kryptonite wielding baddies, just good ol’ racial stereotypes here.
In a strange twist, Michael Sheen, best known for his dramatic impersonations of upstanding British stalwarts ex-PM Tony Blair (in The Queen)** **and David Frost (in the upcoming Frost/Nixon), will play the American Muslim claiming to have planted nuclear bombs in US cities.
Also announced for the project from Ned Kelly director Gregor Jordan are Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal) and Martin Donovan (Saved!). Shooting in Los Angeles begins on October 20.
