However, if an insider report from Coming Attractions is to be believed, there may have been more to it than a pressing need to recount the Trojan war. According to their source, the reason behind the superhero project's sudden bump down the priority ladder was the emergence of a script for the excruciatingly delayed Superman 5 Such is the alleged quality of the script (and doubtless the appealing box office figures garnered by Spider-Man) that priority has been given to putting the Man of Steel solely in the limelight and leaving his duel with the Caped Crusader twisting in the wind. . However, the man scheduled to bring Superman 5 to the screen, McG, would appear to be tied up for the immediate future, meaning that unless another director is called in to speed things up, we could still be in for quite a wait.
