After being hit with more difficulties than a hundred blocks of kryptonite, the continuation of the Superman saga may finally be going ahead. Charlie's Angels director McG has signed to develop and direct the Man of Steel's return to the screen. You will doubtless recall the hair-pulling and general unpleasantness that kept the man in tights from a prior emergence. Numerous scripts for the film were mooted and Tim Burton's intent to direct Nicolas Cage in the Kevin Smith penned Superman Lives ended in disaster, with all parties pulling out and some bad blood between Burton and the Clerks creator. Luckily, though, MG has emerged to pull Superman from the fire and is planning to begin work on the project after completion of Charlie's Angels 2: Halo which begins production this spring.
